These Terms of Service and End User License Agreement (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and Ideaxecution Technologies (“Ideaxecution”, “we”, “us”, “our”), a company registered in India, governing your download and use of the Nix macOS application (the “App”) and related services. By downloading, installing, or using Nix, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Nix on Macs that you own or control. A single Nix Pro license may be activated on up to two (2) Macs at a time.* The Free version may be used without a license, subject to the limits in §3.
Free version. The Free version lets you scan your Mac, see every app’s size and its total leftover (“extra”) size, and remove leftovers up to a cumulative total of 2 GB. In the Free version, individual file paths and the per-file breakdown are hidden, and removal stops once the 2 GB lifetime limit is reached.
Nix Pro. A one-time purchase of US$29 unlocks the full per-file detail (including file paths), removes the 2 GB removal limit, and enables the additional features described at the point of sale. The 2 GB free limit may be adjusted by us over time.
You agree not to: (a) copy, resell, sublicense, rent, or distribute the App or your license key; (b) share, publish, or use a license key on more devices than permitted; (c) reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App except to the extent permitted by law; (d) remove or alter any proprietary notices; (e) use the App to violate any law or the rights of others; or (f) circumvent the Free-version limits or licensing.
Nix and all intellectual property in it are owned by Ideaxecution and its licensors. These Terms grant you a license, not a sale, of the App. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
Purchases are sold and processed by Dodo Payments, which acts as the Merchant of Record. Dodo handles payment, billing, and the collection and remittance of applicable taxes (such as VAT, GST, or sales tax). Your purchase is also subject to Dodo’s terms. Prices are shown at checkout and may change for future purchases.
Because the Free version lets you evaluate Nix before paying, we offer a 7-day money-back guarantee: if you are not satisfied, contact us (or Dodo) within 7 days of purchase for a full refund of your Nix Pro license. Refunds are processed by Dodo as Merchant of Record. After a refund, your license is revoked and Nix Pro features return to the Free version.
The following clarify statements made on our website and in the App:
Nix moves selected items to the macOS Trash; it does not permanently delete them, and you can restore items from the Trash until you empty it. You are responsible for reviewing what you remove and for keeping backups of your data (for example, with Time Machine). Do not remove files you are unsure about. The App requires certain system permissions (such as Full Disk Access) to find leftovers; you grant these at your discretion.
We may provide updates to Nix, which may add, change, or remove features. These Terms apply to updates unless an update is accompanied by separate terms.
The App is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted or error-free, that it will identify every leftover file, or that it will never flag a file you wish to keep. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some of these exclusions may not apply to you.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ideaxecution will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of the App. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App or these Terms will not exceed the total amount you paid us for Nix in the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you.
You agree to indemnify and hold Ideaxecution harmless from claims arising out of your misuse of the App or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what we collect (including device and diagnostic information and your IP address) and how we use it.
These Terms apply until terminated. Your license terminates automatically if you breach these Terms or on a refund or chargeback. On termination you must stop using Nix Pro; the Free version remains available subject to these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive (ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, governing law) will survive termination.
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at India will have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have in your country of residence.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, by additional notice. Your continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. These Terms are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the App.
